Esko United Competitive

Ages

Players at least 8 years old (2018 birth year) up to age 17.

It is suggested that players have played at least one year of recreational soccer, have an understanding of the game, and a competitive drive.

When

Season begins in February with indoor practices. Depending on tournaments the teams select, the season will end at some point in June.

Tournaments

Teams will have the opportunity to play in local tournaments as well as tournaments outside of our area, requiring 1-2 night hotel stays and other travel-related expenses.

Depending on age level, teams are guaranteed 3-4 tournaments. Anything beyond that will be the financial responsibility of the team and players.

Practices

Practices are held approximately twice per week based on field/indoor space availability. These practices can occur at local area school gyms, outdoor fields in Esko as well as Esko turf.

Play Time

In competitive soccer, playing time is not equal. The amount of time players play will be up to the coaches.

Commitment

Players must be willing to attend AT LEAST 75% of practices and 90% of tournament games. Players must commit to their team to ensure appropriate roster sizes for all tournaments.

Player should want to attend practice / games on their own accord with a positive attitude and respect for coaches.

Tryouts and Evaluations

U9-U11 (birth years 2017-2015) will have evaluations on Sunday, September 28th at Esko outdoor turf.

U8/U9 (birth year 2017 & 2018): 2:00pm-3:00pm
U10 (birth year 2016): 3:15pm-4:15pm
U11 (birth year 2015): 4:30pm-6:00pm

U12-U14 will have tryouts on Sunday, November 2nd at the Proctor Indoor Turf.

U12 (birth year 2014): 8:00am-9:30am
U13 (birth year 2013): 9:45am-11:15am
U14 (birth year 2012): 11:30am-1:00pm
