- Team formation and roster size is determined based on the assumption that players will commit to their team and attend AT LEAST 75% of practices and AT LEAST 90% of games and tournaments.
- Frequent absences from practices and/or games may result is lesser play time, at coach discretion.
tournament play
- Each team will participate in 3+ tournaments, with the option of local and away/cities events. If a team decides to partake in more tournaments than their team budget allows, the financial responsiblity will fall on the team and players.
- Tournaments will be selected by coaches and shared with teams at a later date.
Evaluations/kickaround
At Esko United, all new and returning players not currently playing on the Esko High School team will participate in evaluations on Saturday, October 24th. (Current High School players will complete evaluations in November, date TBD.) These sessions give our coaching staff and independent evaluators a clear picture of each player's current skill level, helping us track growth and development throughout the season.
Specific time slots for each age group will be shared no later than October 10th.
- There is a $15 non-refundable registration fee for evaluations that will be collected during registration for equipment and to compensate our evaluators.
team formations
Team placements are finalized following evaluations and consider several key factors: individual player development, evaluation scores, coach recommendations, roster needs, and overall team capacity. Players are placed where they will be best supported and challenged based on their current stage of competitive readiness.
- Playing Up: Based on developmental readiness, evaluation results, and roster needs, players may be invited to play up an age group or competition level.
- Club Flexibility: Esko United reserves the right to adjust team structures, roster sizes, player placements, and tournament schedules to best support both individual player growth and team success.
Our Commitment to Every Esko United Player: No matter which team a player is placed on, they are an essential part of the Esko United family. Every player receives quality coaching, structured training, and equal support to reach their full potential. Our mission is to deliver high-level competitive development while maintaining the close-knit, player-focused approach of a small-community club.
