Esko Soccer - Fall
Our recreational league which runs from middle of July through beginning of October focuses on the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and skill-based development, ensuring every player grows at their own pace in a supportive environment. From friendly matches against fellow Esko squads to exciting games against teams across the Northland, we’re all about celebrating the beautiful game and building community.
Esko Soccer, recreational league, welcomes all players between the ages of 5-14, with birthdates between Jan.1, 2012 - July 31, 2021.
where will we play?
Practices will be held throughout Esko, depending on level of play. Sites will include North Ridge Park, Canosia Field, Les Knuti, and other areas around the Esko Sports Complex.
Games will be held in Esko as well as other area communities such as Duluth, Cloquet, Hermantown, and Superior.
GAMES
Game nights will depends on level of play:
U6 - Monday/Wednesday
U8 - Tuesday/Thursday
U10 - Monday/Wednesday
U12 - Tuesday/Thursday
U14 - Monday/Wednesday
*Please note*: All age groups may have some Sunday afternoon games scheduled to help with field and/or referee availability.
Age-Group Levels
U6 "Under-6": Aug. 1, 2020 - July 31, 2021
U8 "Under-8": Aug. 1, 2018 - July 31, 2020
U10 "Under-10": Aug. 1, 2016 - July 31, 2018
U12 "Under-12": Aug. 1, 2014 - July 31, 2016
U14 "Under-14": Jan. 1, 2012 - July 31, 2014
Teams will typically have 2-3 practices and/or games each week.
Change to Age Groups:
Beginning with the 2026-27 seasonal year, all AYSA leagues (along with the majority of youth soccer in the United States) will utilize a “School Year” (August 1-July 31) registration cycle instead of the current “Birth Year” (January 1- December 31) cycle.

Our goal is to raise enough money to provide each rec player with a new soccer ball. Help us provide this opportunity for our youth players!
